「裝腔作勢」的小蛙── 花狹口蛙平均體長約40mm，頭小身圓，身材呈三角形比例，黃色的身體上有棕色的條紋。雖然牠外型圓潤，但看似和善的牠在面對威脅時卻不會退縮，反而會像氣球般鼓起身體嚇退敵人；在求偶時，雄蛙還會發出「老牛聲」吸引異性。以上這些行為雖然與細小的外型格格不入，但都是牠專屬的生存之道。

Common Name：Spotted Box Crab

They inhabit muddy seabeds and waters at depths of 10 to 100 meters, and have been found in various locations along the Hong Kong coast.

1. 會發出「老牛聲」-
大部份蛙類都在夏季進行交配，而花狹口蛙的雄性會發出低沉如牛的鳴叫以吸引雌性，鳴叫會在約一個月的交配季節完結後消失。

2. 可變身球狀-
花狹口蛙遭遇危險時，能吸氣使身體膨脹以嚇退敵人，過程就吹氣球一樣，脹起的身軀可約原有身型1.5倍大。

3. 出名貪靚的小蛙-
花狹口蛙的斑紋和顏色豐富，看上去像一個花瓶，牠學名中的pulchra在拉丁文中指美麗的花紋，因此花狹口蛙是根據外型命名。
